Celebrating five decades the Rosebud & Thorn Pageant, a renowned Youth Organization in Portland, is the world’s oldest and most prestigious underage drag celebration, the reigning titleholders are TMIM Thorn XLVIII Sally Paniks & Rosebud XLVIII Virtigo Montoya.
With a rich history dating back to 1977, this iconic event has been a cornerstone of Portland’s LGBTQ community, fostering leadership, service, and community-building among queer youth. Founded as an alternative to adult-centric nightlife, Rosebud & Thorn has launched the careers of notable alumni like Lady Elaine Peacock, Poison Waters, Sabel Scities, and RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon.
The pageant is run by and for Portland’s queer youth, focusing on empowering the next generation of leaders.
Join us at 6:00pm, June 7th 2026 at Darcelle XV Showplace to celebrate 50 years of Queer youth artistry and leadership in the fabulous City of Roses. Show starts at 7pm.
